There we were...Late July, 2007 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, IL. We traveled there to be cheerleaders for Brooke's last high school rodeo. She and her boyfriend, Marshall, both made it to the National Finals by placing at the Louisiana State Finals. Brooke in barrel racing and Marshall, tie-down calf roping. What a pair!! It was great to see them all and spend a few days together. We did some sight-seeing around town (those pictures will come later) and made our way around the massive fairgrounds...mostly on foot - boy, was it hot - but occasionally we got hauled around in the golf cart - Marti loved driving!! We bought momentos to remember the trip...Marti was so excited to get her a rodeo t-shirt so she could be a part of the rodeo side of the family! Some snapshots are below. We had a great time! We love you, Brooke, and wouldn't have missed it for the world!!

Poor Marti....in the last picture, you litterally look like you are melting!! I imagine it was hot, but it looks and sounds like you had a great time!!
