Selby Kate has forever changed our lives. She is the most precious baby we have ever seen.....obviously! Life has been quite adventurous since bringing her home so we are just now updating the blog. She has been a high maintenance "feeder" which has consumed a lot of our time but she is worth it. Selby was born on October 8th at 3:59 pm. She was 21 1/2 inches long and weighed 8 pounds 9.7 ounces. WOW! We ended up having to have a cesarean section after all. This was due in part to her large size and in part to the fact that my uterus had apparantly twisted "sideways". The latter part has made for a slower recovery for sure. However, we are all doing well now.
Selby's favorite activities include sleeping, eating, eating, peeing and pooping after my mom and dad take off my diaper. Her biggest dislikes include having her diaper changed, changing clothes, putting alcohol on her cord, or taking a bath. In general....anything that involves taking off her clothes. Of course, time snuggled up with her mom or dad makes all of those bad things a lot better.
She really loves her Popmama and her Nana Kat though..... Nana Kat got to come spend the weekend with her last weekend while her dad had to go to school. She had a great time. She is very excited that she is going to see her Popmama and everyone else in Louisiana next weekend. Here are some pictures to share with everyone for now.
