Shout Out to Mom!

Shout out to Mom! She made her solo debut traveling this weekend - all 300 miles from Downsville, LA to here by herself!!! It was a great accomplishment for her and we are so proud. She was so excited when she arrived Friday evening! We encouraged her to do this because over the last few months her plans to come visit have been postponed because she thought she was dependent on a travel companion and had to work around the plans and schedules of others. Now, she realized that she didn't have to wait if she was ready to come because she is quite capable of making it on her own. We do love and enjoy the family and friends she often brings with her, but wanted her to feel the triumph of making it on her own so she could come anytime she wanted. We had a great time showing off our baby purchases so far and tooling around town looking at other baby stuff. Needless to say, she was thrilled to have a weekend all about baby "Selby" and just being here.

So, Mom, we are so proud of your accomplishment and glad you came to visit. We miss you already and can't wait for you to come again! See you for the 4th of July when we travel down there!! We Love You!
